Guest Bath. Redone!

Our guest bath is finished! It has taken me a bit to find accessories that work. But, I am happy to say that it is complete!

If you forgot, here is the bathroom before:

Good golly. So boring. So ugly. So happy THAT is gone.

Here is our new little gem of a bathroom:

Goodbye awful medicine cabinet.

Hello sweet new faucet.

Oh, and hello to you too, new hardware.

Love this little lacy, quirky towel given to me by Rach :)  Soooo me.

Who loves toile? I do!

I bought a huge bronze mirror and painted it white and distressed it. Shocker, I know.

This is the color I painted this room. Aqua Breeze by Behr. Subtle, but a much needed change!

I love that little room now! I no longer walk by and cringe.

I must make another plug: A friend of mine, Chris, did this work and did an incredible job at that! If you need any work done on your house, check out his website: http://www.iremodeljax.com or visit him on Facebook at IRemodel, Inc. He did a great job and I couldn't be happier! I know you will feel the same way! :)

Happy Monday and enjoy your week!

Apparently we like the beach.

Last time we were at the beach with my child was...Oh...about nine months ago. He hated it. I kind of liked that he hated it, because I do too. I pictured, years from now, both of us talking smack about the beach and loathing it together. The sharks, gritty sand, and so forth are just not my friends.

My high hopes for our joint disdane came to a crashing hault today.

My child loved the beach.

See.

Eating. Copious amounts of sand.

Picking up shells.

Running. No reservations.

Concentrating. What he does best.

Contemplation. What he does second best.

Chasing the birds.

Digging. To China.

Contentment. Love.

I joke about him wanting to hate it. I really do love to see him overjoyed. He was so free and excited today and I love days like this--days of exploration and sheer happiness. Makes my heart full.  :)

Have a fabulous weekend, my friends.

Photo Challenge! Day 05.

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

OK..this one is, excuse my French, too damn hard. It would be impossible for me to pick just one, so I am going to show you a few from my recent memory. We would be here all day if I were to start going WAY back...girl scouts, mountain trips, white water rafting, parts of high school, soccer...see....ALL day.

So, I will spare you and give you my most favoritessseses from recently:

Marrying my wonderful husband on 3-31-07. I saw no one else around us at that moment. Just me and him. (((sigh)))

The birth of my sweet, perfect Peanut on 9-30-09. I saw no one else around us at that moment. Just me and him. (((sigh))) (again) :)

Funny how I block other people out in such gorgeous moments. Love my boys dearly.

Galavanting around England with our baby in my belly. This is a two-for-one picture. Loved England dearly and desperately loved that feeling of a baby growing in my belly.

Photo Challenge! Day 04.

Hi folks! Happy Tuesday!

Continuing on with the ever-so magnificent photo challenge :)

Day 04 - A picture of your night

Making and eating this delicious specimen:
Broccoli, tomato and onion calzone. Before you say "Ew..broccoli?"...give it a try on your pizza or calzone. It's delish and a heck of a lot better for you than sausage or pepperoni!

The first time I ever had pizza with broccoli was in a wonderful dive of a pizza place in New York City with my man a few years ago. Hey, if New York says its OK to have this little beauty on your pizza....then it must be OK.

Enjoy YOUR night. :)

Weekend Recap: Through Pictures.

We just got our internet back. Thank goodness. It was out for...GASP...20 hours! I know, I know...horrible.

Now that it is back up and running, I am here. On my blog. I missed it.

Our weekend was wonderful! It was so gorgeous here in north Florida. 70-78 degrees Saturday and Sunday. No clouds. Nothing but blue skies and a light wind. Gorg.

Needless to say, we spent most of our time outside, soaking it all up.

We started with Saturday morning family-snuggle-in-mommy-and-daddy's-bed:
This is only a Saturday thing. I love it so much. It could be an every-morning kind of thing, really!

We switched from his high-chair over to a booster seat:
I know that is incredibly exciting for you all. It is for me though! My baby is growing up so quickly! :(

We decided to go to Mandarin Park in the afternoon. Instead of playing on the swing sets, etc...we took him down to the big dock by the marina. He had the best time:

Fascinated by the boats!

My child is a sack of flour, apparently. :)

Sunday, we went to our favorite:

We dug into our Yogaberry. Taro and Strawberry swirl, baby!

Afterwards, we cleaned out the garage and organized for our garage sale (on March 5th! Come, people...come!!!!!!). We also went up in the attic to organize/throw things away.

This brings me to our...Attic Finds: Hit and Miss...segment of the blog.

HIT:

These are children's chairs that stand about 2 feet tall! ADORABLE, right? I cannot wait to paint these. Perfect for Boo. Why would the old owners have left these behind? I don't really care why. They are mine now ;)

MISS:

This is, dare I say, turquoise crown molding. Turquoise! And it is adorned with seashells. WHAT were these people thinking? Well...these people are the same ones that left the precious children chairs. WOWness.

I started reading this last night (while I was wollowing in my no internet, no TV sorrows):
Can't wait to see how is stacks up to the movie! :)

Have a fabulously wonderful week, ya'll!

Photo Challenge! Day 03

Onward with my Photo Challenge!

Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show

OK. I love me some Real Housewives of Such and Such. Love. And I cannot choose between a few of them. So, in essense, I love them all:

LOVE Lisa. I am not sure if it is because she is British (and I have an unhealthy obsession with England) or if it's because she is fabulously snarky, I don't know. Just love her.

Kelly is psychotic. Ramona is pretty nuts too. Bethenny is wonderful. That is all.

NeNe needs help. Professional help. I have a small crush on Kandi.

I love that Danielle got her weave pulled out. She is unbalanced.

If you have never watched any of these, you have no idea who any of these ladies are and for that, I am sorry. You are missing out. If you have never watched any of these, your life has not been fulfilled.

Goodbye.

Photo Challenge! Day 02

Onward with my Photo Challenge!

Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

This one is easy as pie. Pecan pie! Or maybe key lime pie. Mmm...key lime.

That would be my bestest, Rachel. We have been best friends for 23 years. Yes, you read that right--2...3. We met when we were 3 and never looked back:

She is amazing in every sense of the word. I could not have asked for a better person to call my best friend. I am one lucky biznatch.

Love You, Rachey!

Empty frames and a movie.

There is something that I love about a few empty frames on a wall. What about you?

Funky and fun. Give it a try in your house for something interesting and away from the norm. :)

On Sunday, Ofir and I went to see Gnomeo and Juliet. We thought it was appropriate for Valentine's Day. Let me just tell you that this was the cutest, funniest movie! Two of my favorite british actors, James McAvoy and Emily Blunt, were"in it"...so it was bound to be good and cute.

It is so different watching a movie when there are tons and tons of children around. Without even realizing it, I was saying to myself "I am going to need these people to hush while this movie is on!" Then, I came to my senses almost immediately and realized that this was, in fact, a children's movie, so there was a slight chance that there would be children around. After that lightbulb came on, I enjoyed hearing them snicker at everything and dig through their cellophane candy bags like there was no tomorrow. Oh, and forgetting about using their inside voices. So funny!

My photography class that I was supposed to start tomorrow evening has been postponed due to an emergency with the teacher. Bummed, folks. Bummed.

Hope you have a fabulous evening! My cousin is gracing me with her presence tonight and I am gracing her with one of my gourmet pizzas! Mmm!

Love,

Kitchen. Redone!

Hi all! Happy Monday and Happy Valentine's Day, again. :)

I know I have said this before, but I am so pleased with the way the kitchen and guest bath came out. The guest bath still has a few more touch ups needed, paint-wise, before I can reveal that one. I know, people...torture waiting on these reveals. I know your entire day, and life really, revolves around my blog and the possibility of a reveal. Patience.

So, here is the fabulousness of the kitchen:

In case you can't tell, I love a crisp white kitchen counter-top. It just looks...oh I don't know...clean! And in case you forgot what it looked like before, I am here to remind you:

Remarkable change, if I do say so myself. A friend of mine, Chris, did this work and did an incredbile job at that! If you need any work done on your house, check out his website: http://www.iremodeljax.com or visit him on Facebook at IRemodel, Inc. He did a great job and I couldn't be happier! I know you will feel the same way! :)

Hope you all have a pleasant day!

Love!
